The 2017 Great Falls (Montana) Youth Risk Behavioral Survey (YRBS) indicates that 25%, or one in four high school students, seriously considered suicide; 17% of all high school students actually attempted suicide. Both statistics are higher than those found in previous years.
To underscore the seriousness of this data, Great Falls Public Schools expelled more students in the fall of the 2017-2018 school year than in the previous 10 years combined.
